Jan’s Atomic Heart is easily one of the best new graphic novels I’ve read so far this year. It’s refreshingly short, simple and imaginative. I eagerly look forward to more great comics from Simon Roy. Read a little more about the book over on the New Reliable Press website. they’ve even got a 22 page preview up for you to peek at.

Sweden owes us all a huge apology for keeping Rui Tenreiro’s work a secret for so long. Somebody needs to get his comics translated and published into English post-haste. Plenty of material on flickr, and at his independent publishing imprint, Soyfriends.
